The numbers used in numerology to indicate one's life path number run from 1 to 9, with the exception of Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33. Master numbers have "extra strength", or double the pulling power of single digits. These numbers are given more challenges, and in return have greater potential. All types of people can have a master number, and it doesn't make one person any more special. It simply means that these people have many more obstacles and challenges along the way, and accordingly have the potential to achieve something that much more powerful in their lifetime.

I just wanted to share that it’s interesting that both of my little girls are 22’s and my mother is a 33 while I’m an 11. All master numbers living in the same home. 🙂 How neat is that?

Hello! My wife’s birthday is November 28, 1981. She thought that she was a 4 for years, until she went to a website that told her she was a 22/4 based on her birthday. Which one should it be? We’ve been researching for hours and cannot figure out why she would be one over the other, they both seem right.

Hi Amber, different websites will use different methods. On this site we use the Pythagorean method of calculation, which goes as follows …
Nov = 11 (master numbers are not reduced any further within the calculation)
28 = 10 = 1
1981 = 19 = 10 = 1
Life path number = 11 + 1 + 1 = 13/4. Regardless of whether a person is a 13/4, 22/4, 31/4, or 40/4 … they are still a 4. 22 is just given a bit more of a spot light because someone, someplace decided to call it a master number 😉 Hope that makes sense.
