Well,my first name is Aditya; when I let the software decide on it own whether the y(which in my entire name is only in the first name Aditya) is a consonant or vowel; it went on taking y as a vowel,that resulted in my heart's desire and personality number being 8 and 3 respectively,yet their definition didn't at all match my intuition or I just didn't feel that enriching enough ; then I examined the pronounciation of y in my first name myself and concluded that to be a consonant and proceded with * at the place of y and then my heart's desire and personality number were both 1 and 1(both reduced from the number 19) and the description of 1 in those places really made me feel aligned. Now please tell what do you think of this,whether I should go with my y as a vowel even if the description hardly match or consonant which make me feel more aligned with the results
Hi Aditya,
The answer really depends on how you pronounce your name … if it is pronounces as Aditeea, the Y is a vowel, if it is Aditja (as in a soft J sound like in Toyota or Yoda) it is considered a consonant. The pronunciation might differ depending on where you live in the world, but in the western English it is most likely treated as a consonant, which then makes sense since you also relate to the definitions as well : )

Hi, I had a birth name but my mother and father split when I was 6 months... my mom remarried when I was 4.. and my last name changed. Never used my birth father's last name always only new myself by my step fathers last name... though now, I am in close relationship with my birth father and wonder if I should go back to original!!
Hi Kel, this is somewhat of a grey area, and there are exceptions for using an adopted name if the adoption occurred fairly early in your life, but if sticking with the "rules" of Pythagorean numerology, you should be using the name you were given at birth, and not the changed name from when you were 4 years old already. Hope that helps : )
